Fruit-Filled Oatmeal Bars

- 1 c. All-Purpose Flour
- 1 c. quick-cooking rolled Oats
- 2/3 c. packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 c. Butter
- 1 (10 oz.) jar Preserves (any flavor)
Directions

1Combine in a mixing bowl flour, oats, brown sugar and baking soda.

2Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup of the flour mixture.

3Press remaining flour mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Spread with preserves.

4Sprinkle with reserved flour mixture. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden.

5Cool in pan on wire rack.

6Cut into bars.

7Makes 2 dozen.
