- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.

3Remove from heat.

4Add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.

5Cool slightly.

6Whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.

7Stir in pecans.

8Pour filling into crust.

9Bake until filling is set, about 40 minutes.
