  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

    Preheat oven to 350F.

    Stir corn syrup and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils.

    Remove from heat.

    Add chocolate and butter and stir until melted and mixture is smooth.

    Whisk in eggs, vanilla and salt.
