  • 1/2 c. whole mustard seed (brown is best, but may use half yellow)
  • 5 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2/3 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 3 large slices onion
  • 2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 or 4 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1/3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. dried tarragon, crumbled
  • 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
