  • 14 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 inches fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 34 cup brandy
  • 4 lemon slices

    Simmer sugar, water, ginger and lemon juice for 15 minutes.

    Stir in brandy.

    Strain and divide between 4 mugs.
