  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar together; add molasses and egg. Combine flour, soda and spices that have been mixed together. Roll into small balls; dip in sugar.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 to 18 minutes at 350°.
