- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- extra sugar
Directions

1Cream the butter.

2Add sugar until fluffy.

3Add egg and molasses.

4Add remaining ingredients; beat until smooth.

5Chill 2 hours.

6Shape into 3/4-inch balls.

7Roll in extra sugar.

8Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350° for 11 to 12 minutes.
