- 2 lb. carrots, peeled and cut into 3 to 4-inch pieces
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cold water
- 3 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. nuts, coarsely chopped
Directions

1Cook carrots until almost done; drain.

2Put carrots into frying pan and add margarine and brown sugar.

3In separate small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until smooth and add to carrot mixture.

4Let it simmer uncovered on stove for 30 minutes; add nuts.

5Put carrots into a casserole dish and keep warm in oven (very low temperature) indefinitely.
