  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1 c. walnut halves
  • 1 c. blanched almonds

Directions

    In small mixing bowl, combine sugar, spices and salt.

    Beat egg white lightly and stir into sugar-spice mixture; stir in water.

    Blend well.

    Add nuts, 1/2 at a time.

    Use fork, stir to coat nuts well.

    Lift up and drain.

    Place on greased baking sheet, separating each nut.

    Bake at 275° until golden crusty, about 45 minutes.

    Remove from baking sheet with a spatula.

    Store in container with tight lid.
