  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium leek onion, sliced
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) chicken broth
  • 1 c. artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 1 tsp. tarragon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and green pepper
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • few drops Tabasco
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream

Directions

    Saute mushrooms and onion in butter over medium heat until tender.

    Add flour, stirring until smooth.

    Slowly add chicken broth, stirring constantly.

    Add next 6 ingredients.

    Simmer until slightly thickened.

    Add cream and heat slowly until warm.
