  • lump of butter size of egg
  • 1 egg
  • 1 qt. persimmons, heaping before running through colander
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 4 c. milk
  • 4 c. flour

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.

    Add beaten whole egg.

    Press persimmons through colander.

    Add soda to pulp.

    Add to creamed mixture.

    Add milk and flour alternately, beating until smooth. Bake slowly for 1 hour at 275° in greased Pyrex.
