Green "Make Ahead" Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 small head shredded lettuce
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 pkg. frozen, unthawed, separated peas
  • 1 can chopped water chestnuts
  • about 8 green onions, sliced
  • full c. grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. yogurt
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 (or more) can shrimp or frozen crab substitute, chopped

Directions

    Mix yogurt and mayonnaise.

    Thin with half and half or milk. Spread in layers in following order:

    lettuce, celery, peas, yogurt and mayonnaise mix, water chestnuts, green onions and cheese.

    Refrigerate.

    Add shrimp just before serving.

    Will keep for days in refrigerator.
