Ingredients

  • 6 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 c. grits
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. Lawry's salt
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • dash of Tabasco
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 green onions, chopped fine

Directions

    Cook grits in boiling water for 6 minutes; add butter and beaten eggs.

    Add all seasonings and grated cheese, mixing well. Pour into greased baking dish and bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour, until top is golden.

    (This may be frozen before baking.)
