Grits Casserole

  • 2/3 c. grits
  • 2 2/3 c. water
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • milk
  • dash of cayenne pepper or paprika
  • 1 roll garlic cheese or 1 (6 oz.) Gruyere cheese (I use Gruyere cheese and add a dab of garlic spread)

Directions

    Cook grits, water and salt for 5 minutes.

    Add margarine and cheese.

    Remove from heat and stir until dissolved.
  4. 4
    Beat 2 eggs slightly in a cup and then fill with milk.

    Add to grit mixture and bake at 375° for 30 minutes.

    A dash of cayenne pepper or paprika may be added.
