  • 2 lb. gumdrops, cut in pieces
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. sweetened apple juice
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves (allspice)
  • 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 c. almonds

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add 2 cups flour, spices, eggs and soda.

    Sift 2 cups flour over fruit and gumdrops.

    Add to creamed mixture.

    Bake 2 hours in large angel food pan at 350°.
