- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2/3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. nutmeats
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix ingredients in order given.

2Spread in 9 x 13-inch cake pan and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

3A thin powdered sugar frosting may be drizzled on top. Cut while warm.

4The bars will be crispy when first baked, but will be softer when they have set awhile.
