- 1 gallon apple cider, divided
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 6 whole cloves
- 5 whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 6 cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
Directions

1In covered 6-quart saucepot or kettle, simmer 2 cups apple cider, water, cloves, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon sticks for 10 minutes.

2Add remaining apple cider and brown sugar; heat, stirring, until sugar dissolves.

3Keep warm, do not boil.

4Serve in cups or mugs.

5Garnish with cinnamon stick.
