Ingredients
- 8 to 10 lb. bottom beef roast
- 1 c. Romano cheese
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. anise
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. crushed red peppers
- salt
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 large can Italian tomatoes
- garlic powder
Directions

1Mix first 6 ingredients together in bowl.

2Make deep slits all over roast on both sides.

3Using tablespoon stuff slits with cheese mixture.

4Make puree of tomato paste and Italian tomatoes plus 2 small cans of water.

5Pour over top of roast; add more water to cover, if necessary.

6Sprinkle with garlic powder.

7Bake at 350° for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

8When cool, slice very thin.

9Excellent for sandwiches for a party.

10Serves 10 to 15.
