- 1 pkg. Italian rolls
- 1 lb. pork sausage or sweet Italian sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. tomato paste
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. rosemary
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
Directions

1Heat rolls according to package directions; cut into halves, lengthwise.

2In skillet, cook sausage until lightly browned.

3Pour off excess fat.

4Add onion, tomato paste, water and seasonings. Simmer for 10 minutes.

5Spoon mixture over bottom half of roll; top with slices of cheese.

6Replace top of roll.

7Place in a 350° oven until cheese melts, about 10 minutes.

8Sprinkle with oregano. Makes 2 to 4 sandwiches.
