  • 2 c. squash
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • cheese (hoop type) to liking
  • small amount of butter
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 slices bread

Directions

    Boil squash and chopped onion.

    Drain and return to pan.

    Add eggs and butter.

    Layer squash with cheese (2 layers of each, use plenty of cheese).

    Crumble bread on top and pat with butter. Bake at 450° until brown on top.
