Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Ajwain seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 4 Whole hot red chillies
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger, Garlic, Turmeric Paste
  • a few Curry leaves
  • 1 Medium onion, fine chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, fine chopped
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Besan (Chickpea Flour)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Water

Directions

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

    Add cumin, ajwain and mustard seeds.

    Cook 2 mins.

    Add onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, ginger garlic turmeric paste and cook 5 minutes.

    In a bowl mix yogurt, besan and water.

    Use a whisk.

    Make sure there are no lumps.

    Add this to the pot.

    Add salt.

    Bring it to a boil and reduce heat to simmer.

    Cook to desired thickness.

    Don't let it boil over.
