Chicken Continental Rice

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 tsp. celery flakes
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. grated onion
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1 1/3 c. water
  • 1 1/3 c. rice (Minute, uncooked)
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

Directions

    Combine soup, onion and seasoning in saucepan.

    Gradually add water and blend thoroughly.

    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour soup mixture over uncooked Minute rice in shallow casserole dish.

    Stir just to moisten.

    Cover and bake at 375° for 20 minutes (or until rice absorbs most of the liquid).

    Sprinkle with paprika.

    Garnish with parsley, if desired.

    Makes 4 servings. Serve with fried chicken.
