Ingredients

  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. instant coffee crystals
  • 2 tbsp. Kahlua
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 7 tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler.

    Remove from heat and mix thoroughly with all other ingredients.

    Pour into a buttered 8-inch square pan.

    Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 30 minutes.

    Cool in pan.

    Icing: Mix all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

    Boil 1 minute and remove from heat.

    When cool, add vanilla.

    Sprinkle icing over cooled brownie base and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
