Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup coffee granules instant
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups vodka

Directions

    Dissolve sugar into water over medium high heat.

    Add instant coffee granules and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to simmer.

    Stir every 10-15 minutes as needed for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Mixture will be reduced to a liquid syrup.

    Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

    Stir in vanilla and allow to cool another 15 - 30 minutes*.

    Stir in vodka.

    Pour the liqueur into dark glass bottles and keep out of direct light. Leave to stand in a cool dark place for at least couple of weeks.
