Ingredients

  • 4 c flour
  • 12 oz butter (3 sticks)
  • 1 oz yeast (2 small squares or 1/2 large)
  • 3 yolks
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • grated rind of one lemon

Directions

    Crumble yeast into flour and cut in butter, like for a piecrust. Add sour cream, beaten egg yolks and rind. Mix well. Roll out dough on powdered sugar. Cut dough into triangles. Fill with nut filling (recipe to follow). Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Brown on bottom only. Roll cookies in powdered sugar while still warm.
