Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, broken in bite size pieces
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced

Directions

    Mix the sugar and sour cream.

    In another bowl, thin mayonnaise with vinegar to pouring consistency.

    Layer in pan or salad bowl the lettuce, sour cream mixture, celery, onion, mayonnaise mixture, bacon and cheese.

    Let stand in refrigerator not longer than 8 hours.

    Toss before serving.
