Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 c. grated cheese (Cheddar)
  • 1/2 to 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 12 oz. bacon, fried crisp

Directions

    Wash and dry lettuce.

    Tear into bite size pieces and put in a 13 x 9-inch pan.

    Slice celery and sprinkle over lettuce.

    Next, put a layer of 1 cup of the cheese.

    Place sliced onion on next. In small bowl, mix the sour cream and sugar together and spread over salad.

    Then, mix the mayonnaise and vinegar and drizzle over that.

    Crumble the bacon over it next. Top with remaining cup of cheese.

    Refrigerate several hours.
