Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 c. celery, sliced
  • 5 eggs, boiled and sliced
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
  • 1 med. sweet onion, diced
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Tear lettuce into bite-size pieces. Place in a casserole dish. Layer the rest of the ingredients in order given. Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over the top, as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese.

    Cover and refrigerate 8 - 12 hours. At serving time, garnish with additional bacon and parsley.
