- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- powdered sugar
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Combine butter, 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup powdered sugar; blend until smooth.

2Pat dough into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, or until light brown.

3Combine eggs, sugar and lemon juice; mix well.

4Add 1/4 cup flour, salt and baking powder; blend well.

5Pour over pastry.

6Bake at 300° for 30 to 40 minutes.

7Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

8Cut into squares or bars.
