- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- grated rind of 1 lemon
Directions

1Blend sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg.

2Gradually add boiling water, stirring constantly, and cook over low heat for 5 minutes or until thick and clear.

3Add butter or margarine, lemon juice and lemon.

4Makes 1 1/2 cups.
