- 7 to 10 lb. cucumbers, sliced
- 2 gal. water
- 2 c. pickling lime
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 5 lb. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. whole mustard seed
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 1 tsp. pickling spice
Directions

1Soak cucumbers in water for 24 hours.

2Rinse well.

3Soak another 3 hours in ice water and drain.

4Mix remaining ingredients; add cucumbers and soak overnight.

5Bring to a boil; simmer 35 minutes.

6Pack in jars and seal.
