- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 c. butter
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Directions

1Mix first 5 ingredients.

2Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Add egg gradually, tossing with fork until flour mixture is moistened.

4Shape into ball, flatten slightly.

5On floured surface, roll 2/3 of dough into a 16 x 11-inch rectangle. Place in ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan (dough should go up sides).

6Spread pie filling on dough.

7Roll remaining dough 1/4-inch thick; cut strips 1/2-inch wide.

8Crisscross strips over filling.

9Press ends to border.

10Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan.
