- 1 pkg. dry yeast (not cake)
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 8 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2Cream shortening and sugar, adding 2 cups warm water, yeast and salt.

3Mix well and add flour.

4Mix well.

5Put in large greased bowl, greasing top of dough.

6Cover and put in icebox.

7(Will keep 1 week.)

8Pinch to size wanted.

9Put on greased cookie sheet or muffin tins.

10Let rise 2 hours.

11Cook at 400° for 12 to 14 minutes.

12Makes 3 dozen.
