- 5 large egg whites, beaten stiff
- 2/3 c. applesauce
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. skimmed evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine applesauce and sugar; beat until blended.

2Mix dry ingredients together.

3Mix milk, water and vanilla.

4Alternately add flour mix and milk mix to applesauce and sugar mix.

5Fold in egg whites.

6Pour into lightly greased and floured pan.

7Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
