- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 c. milk
- 4 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1In large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Stir in sugar. Add sliced Crisco, butter, milk, vanilla and eggs. Beat all at one time for 3 minutes. Scrape sides and beat 2 more minutes. Add nuts; stir in well. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
