  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. chopped, pared, raw apples
  • 1 c. chopped black walnuts

    Beat eggs and oil until foamy.

    Sift flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon together and add to egg mixture.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2 1/2-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done.

    Remove from oven and spread with topping.
