- 1 c. maple syrup
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 baked 8-inch pie shell
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1In top of double boiler, stir together the syrup, egg yolks, milk and flour.

2Cook over hot water until thick and smooth, stirring frequently.

3Remove from heat.

4Beat in butter.

5Cool. Preheat oven to 350°.

6Beat egg whites until stiff for meringue. Gradually add sugar.

7Pour custard mixture in pie shell.

8Cover with the meringue.

9Bake until meringue is lightly browned, approximately 12 minutes.
