  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/3 c. oleo
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped and drained chilies

Directions

    Combine cornmeal, salt and baking soda; blend.

    Stir in shortening (oleo); add sour cream, corn and eggs.

    Mix well.

    Add green chilies and Cheddar cheese and stir.

    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.
