- 1 1/2 c. rice
- 3 Tbsp. bacon grease
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 can water
Directions

1Put bacon grease and rice in frying pan over low heat.

2Stir occasionally until lightly brown.

3Add onions, cumin, salt, chili powder, tomatoes and water.

4Cover with a tight lid and cook over low heat until rice is done.

5Add more water if necessary.
