  • 1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 2 to 3 c. pecans
  • 6 to 8 blocks Borden bark chocolate
  • Crisco shortening

Directions

    Melt caramels and milk over double boiler or heavy saucepan. It can be melted in a microwave, but be careful not to scorch. Add pecans; mix well.

    Chill until it becomes easier to work with. Drop by teaspoons onto greased wax paper.

    Insert toothpicks and freeze.

    Melt chocolate in microwave if you prefer, with 1 tablespoon Crisco shortening.

    Dip caramel and pecans into chocolate; place on wax paper to harden.

    Remove small amounts from freezer to prevent them from thawing before they can be dipped.
