5 ingredients
10 steps

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 1 (2-inch) piece orange peel
  • 8 sprigs fresh mint

Directions

  1. 1
Bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2
When it's boiling, add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. 3
    Turn off the heat.
  4. 4
Drop the tea bags and the orange peel into a teapot.
  5. 5
Rip the mint leaves and drop them in too.
  6. 6
Pour the water into the teapot, put the lid on, and allow to steep for about 10 minutes.
  7. 7
When you're ready to serve, pour into small glasses, using a tea strainer.
  8. 8
If you can, try pouring a good few inches from the glass - this cools down the tea, and creates a light foam on top that is traditional.
  9. 9
You can also chill this tea and serve over ice on hot days.
  10. 10
Refreshing, and great for your digestion!
