- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter together. Add milk, eggs and molasses. Mix well. Mix ands sift remaining ingredients. Add to liquid mixture and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours.

2Turn out on a lightly floured board and roll to 1/2 inch thickness - cut with doughnut cutter.

3Fry in deep hot fat, 375F, until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar.
