Molded Beet Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. lemon jello
  • 1 (No. 2) can beets, drain and reserve liquid
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • cloves and bay leaf
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Directions

    Make 2 cups liquid with juice from beets and 1/4 cup vinegar. Thinly slice beets.

    Add cloves and bay leaf to liquid and heat to boiling.

    Let stand a few minutes.

    Strain liquid and add to lemon jello. Add sliced beets and sugar while hot.

    Pour into molds. Good served with sweet and sour dressing.
