- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 tsp. shortening
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 c. flour
- oil (for frying)
Directions

1Heat the milk, sugar, salt and shortening, but do not boil. Cool this until it is room temperature and add yeast until dissolved.

2Mix the flour into mixture and let rise for 30 minutes. Pinch off small pieces and stretch until very thin.

3Fry this on each side and place on toweling to drain.

4Sprinkle the ears with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.

5Make plenty of these when the kids come home from school.

6They disappear like magic.
