- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 2/3 c. soft shortening (Crisco)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 3 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 1/3 c. cold water
Directions

1In large bowl with fork, beat butter and sugar until creamy, then blend this mixture with soft shortening.

2Combine flour and salt with fork; blend with butter mixture.

3Gradually stir in water until mixture cleans sides of bowl.

4On lightly floured surface, knead dough until just well mixed.

5Chill.

6Divide into thirds and roll out crusts.

7Bake at 450° for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
