- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Sift flour and salt into bowl.

2Blend in shortening well until the size of peas.

3Put water, lemon juice and egg in dry mixture; stir until damp enough to hold together.

4Divide in half; makes two crusts.

5Bake bottom crust 15 minutes, then pour filling into crust.

6Then put top crust on and bake 45 minutes at 400°.
