Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 egg (beat egg then add to vinegar and water)
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp. water (mix with vinegar)

    Blend dry ingredients with shortening.

    Add egg and liquid mixture.

    Form into roll; wrap in waxed paper or covered container.

    Store in refrigerator.

    Take off as much as needed. Warm to room temperature; roll on heavily floured board.

    Makes 4 or 5 pie crusts.
