  • 2 1/2 sticks margarine (butter is best)
  • 8 heaping Tbsp. confectioners sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 1 to 2 c. chopped nuts (pecans)

Directions

    Cream the margarine and sugar; add flour, vanilla and nuts and blend well.

    If necessary sprinkle it with cold water to get it workable.

    Use 1 teaspoon of mixture to roll out in hand the finger-shaped confection.

    Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.

    Turn to broil for last few minutes to give crispness.

    Cool, then roll in sugar.
