- 2 1/2 Tbsp. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 1/4 c. scalded milk
- 1/3 c. honey
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 c. flour
- 2 c. rolled oats
Directions

1Put yeast in water; let stand 5 minutes.

2Put scalded milk in large bowl with honey, butter and salt.

3Stir until butter melts. Add 2 cups flour and oats.

4Stir and cool (lukewarm).

5Add yeast and mix well.

6Stir in enough flour to make soft dough.

7Knead 10 minutes.

8Put in

9greased bowl.

10Cover and rise until doubled. Punch down.

11Put in 2 loaf pans.

12Rise.

13Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
