Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions

    Sift together dry ingredients.

    Add eggs, milk, butter and brown sugar all at once.

    Stir until blended.

    Pour batter into preheated lightly greased waffle iron.

    Do not open during baking. Use fork to remove.

    Top with fresh fruit and yogurt.

    It's also delicious with ice cream.

    Makes 12 (4-inch) waffles.
