Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 4 c. pecan halves
  • 1/5 lb. paraffin
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 lb. oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix sugars, oleo and 1 cup milk. Bring to rolling boil and keep it boiling slowly.

    Add remaining milk.

    Cook to soft ball (234°).

    Add vanilla and pecans. Pour into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Refrigerate for several hours. Cut into squares or mash flat. Melt chips and paraffin in double boiler. Dip squares into melted chocolate.

    Place on wax paper. Toothpicks are excellent for dipping candy.
